The Information Technology team at Rubrik influences business processes, employee experience, and technologies to scale our organization to $1B+. This team creates operational efficiency across the company by centralizing the management of Infrastructure, Technology, and Data. The IT team ensures all stages of the software development lifecycle in a secured environment and scrutinizes the deployment of proper processes along with governance. They champion Rubrik on Rubrik and are the first customers of the Engineering teams at Rubrik.

Rubrik Corp IT is constructed of 100% SaaS and 0% on-premises. The IT team caters to accelerated enhancement of business value and multiple day-to-day business processes through our varied SaaS applications like Salesforce.com, Oracle Netsuite, Workday, Snowflake, Etrade, jitterbit, Allocadia, etc. This team also delivers high-paced business outcomes with 100% system uptime backed by agile, nimble, simple, but cohesive Cloud architectures.

About the Role : 

The QA Specialist in Financial Data Management ensures financial data integrity, accuracy, and compliance by developing and executing comprehensive QA processes, including detailed test plans, automation, and regular audits. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, they resolve data discrepancies, monitor performance, and provide actionable insights through detailed reporting. Additionally, they manage the software test life cycle and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring high-quality deliverables and regulatory compliance.

What you'll Do

  • Develop, execute, and document comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts for data integrity and accuracy.
  • Perform regular data audits to identify, compare, and resolve quality issues and inconsistencies.
  • Validate financial data, particularly ARR/NRR, customers, and entitlements from various sources within the Finance Data Track
  • Implement and maintain QA processes and best practices for financial data management.
  • Collaborate with finance, IT, and cross-functional teams to establish and enforce QA standards.
  • Identify and address data anomalies, discrepancies, and defects.
  • Work with data engineers, analysts, and programmers to correct data quality errors and issues.
  • Track and report on data quality metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) on finance Data (Ex: Quarterly ARR/NRR Reporting).
  • Develop and implement automated data validation and testing scripts, optimizing their performance.
  • Continuously enhance QA processes through automation and innovation.
  • Ensure data quality and financial reporting compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., SOX, IFRS).
  • Participate in internal and external audits as required.
  • Generate and analyze data quality reports, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Support the finance Data team in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Develop, maintain, and adhere to QA documentation (policies, procedures, guidelines).
  • Design, execute, and document functional, performance, and regression testing.
  • Lead Finance Data QA projects, ensuring on-time delivery and innovation.
  • Document functional workflows, data pipelines, data transformation, and data transfer knowledge for cross-functional teams.
  • Should be capable of coming up with test strategies based on dashboards/data and should be able to compare SQL and dashboard both against business requirements
  • Review and address automation code queries, manage the software test life cycle (STLC), and engage in change management processes.
  • Provide regular progress reports, sharing performance issues with the development team.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders to define and manage requirements and deliverables.
  • Proactively learn new technologies and actively participate in team meetings.
  • Contribute to open-source automation frameworks and assist with team upskilling.
  • Work with the support team on application-specific issues and document project details.
  • Actively involved in new initiatives right from the beginning of the project to ensure a strong foundation and comprehensive understanding of project requirements until closure.

Experience you'll need

  • Over 7 years of experience in data quality assurance, data analysis, and related roles within the software product finance data.
  • Proficient in CRM Finance Cloud applications Such as Salesforce  (Entitlements, Contracts, Order management, Booking) - Mandatory
  • Substantial experience in ETL, DataBase Testing, DWH, SQL, Tableau, Microsoft Excel
  • Skilled in big data technologies, reports/dashboard testing, data visualization testing, data analytics testing, and mandatory Tableau report testing.
  • Being familiar with programming languages such as Python is considered an added advantage.
  • Strong foundation in software QA methodologies, tools, and processes, complemented by a solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology, and proven experience in Agile environments.
  • Proficient in using automated testing tools (Java Selenium) and API testing, with knowledge of test automation frameworks and best practices being highly beneficial.
  • Experience in performance and security testing is advantageous.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to identify, isolate, and document defects.
  • Flexible and adaptive to short sprint cycles (2 weeks), capable of defining and reviewing test cases to ensure quality.
  • Possesses excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, alongside effective verbal and written communication.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a great team player capable of working efficiently with minimal supervision.
  • Experienced in working remotely and collaborating with global teams, with flexibility in work hours.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field

NONDISCLOSURE AGREEMENT

In consideration of any disclosure of certain nonpublic or confidential information, you hereby enter into this Nondisclosure Agreement (the “Agreement”) and agree as follows:

  1. Confidential Information. In connection with a potential business relationship or other business purposes, Rubrik, Inc. (the “Company”) has granted you (the individual or entity named below) access, or may grant you access, to business, technical or other nonpublic information, materials and/or ideas (“Confidential Information,” which term shall include, without limitation, anything you learn or discover as a result of exposure to or analysis of any Confidential Information).
  2. Obligations. You will hold in confidence and will not possess or use (except as required to evaluate the proposed business relationship) or disclose any Confidential Information except information you can document which (i) is in the public domain through no fault of yours, (ii) was properly known to you, without restriction, prior to disclosure by Company or (iii) was properly disclosed to you by another person without restriction.   6. Disclaimer. Confidential Information is provided to you “as is” and the Company makes no warranties with respect to the Confidential Information or any materials provided by the Company.  In no event will the Company be liable for the accuracy or completeness of the Confidential Information.  You understand that nothing herein (i) requires the disclosure of any Confidential Information of the Company or (ii) requires the Company to proceed with any transaction or relationship.  You understand that this Agreement does not obligate the Company to disclose any information or negotiate or enter into any agreement or relationship.
  7. Miscellaneous.  The terms of this Agreement will remain in effect with respect to any particular Confidential Information until you can document that such Confidential Information falls into one of the exceptions stated in Section 2 above.  You acknowledge and agree that due to the unique nature of the Confidential Information, any breach of this Agreement would cause irreparable harm to Company for which damages are not an adequate remedy, and that Company shall therefore be entitled to equitable relief in addition to all other remedies available at law.  This Agreement is personal to you, nonassignable by you, governed by the internal laws of the State of California and may be modified or waived only in writing signed by both parties.  If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable, such provision will be limited or deleted to the minimum extent necessary so that the remaining terms remain in full force and effect.  The prevailing party in any dispute or legal action regarding the subject matter of this Agreement shall be entitled to recover attorneys’ fees and costs.
