Director of Product Management, Hypervisors and Containers
Location: Palo Alto, CA HQ [Hybrid]

About the Role:
The Director of Product Management for Hypervisors and Containers will spearhead the end-to-end strategy of our hypervisor and container solutions, guaranteeing robust protection against cyber threats and data corruption to our customers. This pivotal role involves close collaboration with customers and go-to-market teams to identify areas of growth and prioritize investment. The Director will then lead a team of Product Managers in creating and delivering innovative, market-leading solutions. Given the high growth and strategic importance of hypervisor protection at Rubrik and also within the Data Center team, this position is crucial to the company's overall success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and communicate the product strategy and vision for Rubrik’s Hypervisor protection across the organization
- Align product goals with business objectives, customer needs, and market opportunities.
- Establish and maintain a clear plan of action that’s updated regularly based on the evolving market needs.
- Identify new market opportunities and customer needs, analyze competition, and set the direction for the product line
- Collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and sales to ensure product roadmap and business goals alignment
- Lead and coach a team of 3 product managers, including hiring, training, providing feedback, and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and customer-centricity
What we are looking for:
- 10+ years of enterprise product management experience
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing high-growth product teams.
- Must be willing to operate as a player-coach.
- Demonstrates strong conceptual and critical thinking to develop product strategy and integration across a complex portfolio, even with limited data.
- Possesses deep technical expertise in hypervisor technologies (vSphere, AHV, Hyper-V) or container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Has a proven track record of successfully taking B2B products from concept to launch.
- Has experience fostering collaborative and differentiated relationships with technology partners.
- Is a humble-smart team player with strong communication skills, capable of translating complex technical information into simple concepts and presentations.
