About The Team

Rubrik is on a mission to secure the world’s data and our Information Technology Team is committed to supporting this mission. As part of the newly founded IT AI team, you’ll be pivotal in driving AI-powered transformation, enabling smarter automation, data-driven insights, and scalable solutions that empower Rubrik’s mission.

About the role

Rubrik is seeking an experienced and motivated AI Program Manager to join our IT organization. In this role, you'll define strategy, plan, oversee execution, and govern AI initiatives across the IT organization. You will closely partner with every business function in Rubrik—including Sales & Marketing, Customer Support, Finance, HR, and Legal—as well as Engineering, Product, Information Security, and Procurement to derive maximum value and successfully deliver impactful AI solutions.

We are looking for someone who possesses a strong understanding of AI technology and can effectively leverage business acumen to translate organizational objectives into impactful AI-driven projects. You will need a foundational knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and full-stack technology solutions, enabling you to collaborate effectively with full-stack engineers, cloud architects, prompt engineers, and data teams. Exceptional organizational, project-management, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and execute a comprehensive AI roadmap for Rubrik IT, clearly aligned to overall business priorities and technical strategy.
  • Engage with stakeholders across all Rubrik business functions (Sales & Marketing, Customer Support, Finance, HR, Legal, IT Helpdesk), as well as Product and Engineering teams, to gather, clarify, prioritize requests, and clearly document and maintain the backlog.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to quantify business value and return on investment (ROI) for requested AI solutions; prioritize initiatives accordingly.
  • Maintain and communicate a clearly visible, accessible, and updated AI project roadmap to stakeholders organization-wide.
  • Coordinate and collaborate closely with full-stack engineers, cloud specialists, prompt engineers, and data teams to ensure smooth, efficient, and successful execution of AI solutions.
  • Oversee the complete lifecycle of AI projects—including ideation, prioritization, feasibility assessment, execution, deployment, adoption management, and measurement of success metrics.
  • Ensure all AI solutions comply with internal and external regulatory standards, data privacy practices, cybersecurity requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Stay informed about emerging AI trends and technologies, assessing their potential applicability and integration into Rubrik’s business and technical ecosystem.
  • Champion a culture of innovation and AI best practices, mentoring internal teams in leveraging AI technologies.
  • Provide consistent updates, proactively resolve project risks, and facilitate effective team coordination, communications, and problem solving.
  • Provide continuous operational and administrative leadership to support AI projects, including meeting coordination, documentation management, intake processes, internal communication, and follow-ups.
  • Conduct relevant research as needed for successful evaluation, planning, and decision-making on project direction and approaches.

Experience You’ll Need:

  • 5–8 years of experience as a program manager within IT, Engineering, Technology Consulting, or related fields, including at least 2 years directly managing AI-focused initiatives (automation, workflow enhancements, productivity improvement).
  • Working knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and related technologies, capable of clearly communicating requirements with engineering and technical teams, including full-stack developers, cloud specialists, prompt engineers, and data engineers.
  • Demonstrated experience with full-stack AI solution delivery and cloud-based technologies, enabling effective collaboration with full-stack technology specialists.
  • Proven understanding of business case development, including ROI definition, backlog prioritization, and clear strategic roadmap management.
  • Ability to work effectively, influence, and achieve successful outcomes across multiple business groups, engineering, product teams, and supporting technical teams.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and common project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).
  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills, capable of clearly engaging and informing both technical and non-technical audiences, including senior executives.
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities, adept at balancing multiple programs simultaneously and successfully driving delivery in complex, fast-paced settings.
  • Proven experience effectively navigating ambiguity and prioritizing competing initiatives, tasks, and responsibilities.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data comprehensively and deliver clear, actionable insights.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years experience at a large tech company or consulting firm leading AI projects / programs.
  • Cybersecurity awareness and understanding of industry standards and regulations (e.g., EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, GDPR, CCPA).
